US Open men’s title odds: Djokovic favourite in New York
Novak Djokovic ($2.80) leads the US Open men’s title odds heading into the final Grand Slam of the year in New York, with the Serbian pursing his first major title of the season.
The ATP Tour’s two most in-form players, Carlos Alcaraz ($3) and Jannik Sinner ($4), are hot on his tail in outright betting, while a big gulf exists between these three and the rest of the field.
Bookies are confident that one of Djokovic, Alcaraz or Sinner will win the title, but less confident which one it will be. Bet365 has Djokovic favourite, but others such as Playup still give Alcaraz the edge.
While Alexander Zverev ($10) and Daniil Medvedev ($15) cannot be considered favourites, they are still good chances to win if the three betting lines above them stumble. Medvedev has a title in New York previously, while Zverev was one set away.
It would be a big surprise if any of these four won the US Open title. However, each has shown consistency at Grand Slams in the past and should be around come the second week in New York.
Getting into long-shot territory now, Frances Tiafoe ($67), Casper Ruud ($81), Matteo Berrettini ($81) and Hubert Hurkacz ($101) are seen by tennis bookmakers as the best options to go on a hot streak at the US Open. Ruud has a final here in the past, while the other three are all former Grand Slam semi-finalists.
Every other contender in New York has US Open title odds of $101 and up. There are some strong dark horse options, such as Sebastian Korda ($126), Jack Draper ($126) and Alexei Popyrin ($151), but bookies are not giving them much of a chance.
