Unconditional chases more QTIS money
Unconditional will be chasing further QTIS bonuses when she runs at Doomben.
Toowoomba filly Unconditional will be aiming to continue her domination of the late season QTIS bonus races when she runs at Doomben.
Trained by Michael Nolan, Unconditional was the leading two-year-old on QTIS prize money in June.
Unconditional won at Toowoomba and Ipswich and was an eye-catching second at the Sunshine Coast last month.
It took her total prize money to $110,000 with QTIS bonus earnings of $41,100.
Unconditional will be chasing $36,750 QTIS bonus money on top of the $42,000 first prize on Saturday in the Two-Year-Old Handicap (1350m.
She will be backing up her after her second to The Fire Trap at Caloundra last Saturday and Nolan has no qualms about stepping Unconditional up in distance.
“She is by Jet Spur and they are usually sprinters. But I really think she can get out to 1600 metres,” Nolan said.
“The QTIS bonus scheme this time of the year is great, especially for fillies.”
Among her opposition is the Pat Duff-trained Soaring Heart who has run three consecutive seconds.
“He ran into a very good filly Granny Red Shoes when second in a stakes race last time and that is good form for this, “Duff said.
