Jan Blachowicz (29-10-1) has not fought in the UFC cage since 2023, when he lost a close decision to recently dethroned light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira. The 42-year-old Pole is one of the toughest men to ever compete in MMA and boasts wins over some big names, including Israel Adesanya, Aleksandar Rakic, and Dominick Reyes. Blachowicz is listed at huge odds with online bookies but cannot be discounted given his grit and experience.

Carlos Ulberg (12-1-0) has emerged as an exciting prospect at 205 pounds, winning his last seven fights to earn a top-six ranking. The Kiwi is a powerful striker with seven knockout wins on his professional record, although he has been brought through the grades slowly and is yet to face a world-class talent. This is a jump in class, but a win over Blachowicz would cement Ulberg’s position as a future title contender.

Gunnar Nelson (19-5-1) is an elite grappler who has made just five UFC appearances since 2018, generating three wins and two losses. The 36-year-old has the skills to dominate almost any welterweight on the mat and will be keen to take this fight down at the first opportunity. Nelson has 13 submission wins on his record and looks likely to add to that tally in London.

Kevin Holland (26-13-0) has appeared lacklustre in recent bouts, winning just one of his last five outings. The 32-year-old is a talented all-round MMA athlete but struggles for motivation, focus, and volume during his bouts, which is reflected in his 4-7 record with the judges. It is hard to get enthused about Holland’s chances, but it must be noted he has dropped a weight division for this bout in the hope of reversing his fortunes.

Molly McCann (14-7-0) has lost three of her last four fights after showing early promise. The Liverpudlian loves to throw spinning elbows and punches with the power to knock opponents off their feet, and her follow-up ground skills are also sound. She has struggled against BJJ practitioners, however, and enters this matchup as an outsider with UFC betting sites despite facing a less experienced opponent.

Alexia Thainara (11-1-0) earned a UFC contract with a dominant decision victory on Dana White’s Contender Series six months ago and will make her debut in London. The Brazilian relishes wild striking exchanges in the pocket and also kicks well from range, while she has six submission wins from her lead-up fights on regional MMA promotions. If she can emerge from this cauldron with a win, Thainara’s stocks will rise significantly.

Jordan Vucenic (13-3-0) has fought just once in the UFC, suffering a close decision loss to Guram Kutateladze in August last year. The 29-year-old boasts a strong record with rival promotion Cage Warriors and is expected to measure up favourably in the lightweight ranks. Vucenic appears most comfortable grappling on the mat and still has some holes in his stand-up game, yet MMA punters have made him the shortest-priced favourite on this main card.

Chris Duncan (12-2-0) has fought four times in the UFC, returning three wins and one loss since 2023. The 34-year-old should have a striking and power advantage in this matchup and would be wise to keep the action on the feet. Duncan was submitted via rear naked choke in February 2024 — a weakness that is bound to be targeted during this bout — while his chin was exposed badly when he was dropped by an uppercut during a matchup with Charlie Campbell.

Nathaniel Wood (21-6-0) has won four of his last five UFC fights, with all bouts being adjudicated by the judges. The Brit is a busy striker who circles effectively from danger while throwing technically sound straight punches. Coming into this clash with a stamina advantage, the 31-year-old might be a little underrated by punters and represents good value to cause a minor upset.

Morgan Charriere (20-10-1) has fought three times in the UFC, recording two wins and a loss. The Frenchman is a dynamic striker who pursues knockout finishes at every opportunity. He struggles if the stoppage is not forthcoming, however, and holds a 5-9 record with the judges. If the 29-year-old can find his range early, he should emerge triumphant, but a slower-paced tactical battle might prove his undoing.
