Trainer Logan McGill fined $4400
Trainer Logan McGill has been fined a total of $4400 relating to a horse in his care returning a positive sample to a corticosteroid after a race at Stony Creek.
The prohibited substance Triamcinolone Acetonide was detected in the post race blood sample taken from the McGill-trained Integrated on March 28.
Integrated finished third in a 1100m maiden but has now been disqualified.
McGill pleaded guilty to presenting a horse to race with a prohibited substance in its system and was fined $4000 by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday.
He was also fined $400 for failing to keep proper treatment records.
Stewards said McGill failed to record an intra-articular injection by a vet of Kenacort (Triamcinolone Acetonide) and Hyaluronic Acid to the stifles of Integrated on March 14, and also the amount administered to the knees and stifles.
