Tigers vs Raiders NRL betting preview
The Canberra Raiders have dominated this matchup since 2016, winning six of seven clashes by an average margin of well over 30 points.
Raiders winger Jordan Rapana has owned the fixture, scoring 10 tries against the Wests Tigers in this time period and 11 in total if you go back to 2015.
He is named on the bench for this clash with Ricky Stuart favouring Bailey Simonsson, but will Curtis Scott make way after his sub-par performance against Newcastle in order to get Rapana into the starting side?
Raiders 13+ at $2.50 with Sportsbet is appropriate given the history. Throw in the shock axing of Wests half Benji Marshall, who is 18-3 for his career against Canberra, and it is a price that’s hard to go past.
The Green Machine flew to Sydney before getting the bus out to Campbelltown last week and started sluggishly against Newcastle. Will they opt to get the bus both ways this time to make it a 470km round trip as opposed to flying one way?

For a team who have often stayed in hotels for home games to replicate success on the road, the new arrangement for their temporary home does play a factor.
The Tigers’ debacle against the Titans has seen coach Michael Maguire make some interesting changes.
Josh Reynolds comes in for Marshall at five-eighth and Tommy Talau comes onto the wing for Robert Jennings, while Chris Lawrence makes his first start of the season in place of Luke Garner.
The scale of those changes is interesting when you consider the Tigers are the only club to score 20 or more points in each game (take the overs total in this one), but it also indicates ‘Madge’ is sick of taking a step forward only to take two backwards.
This is a huge Saturday night game with big implications for both teams.
