Tigers v Sea Eagles NRL match preview
The Manly Sea Eagles will be looking to continue their recent good form this Thursday night as they face the Wests Tigers in round 25 of the 2024 NRL Premiership.
Last Saturday, it was a rare win for the Tigers as they upset the Rabbitohs by two points. In a low-scoring affair, Benji Marshall’s side set up the win with a strong first-half performance before holding off a late Souths comeback.
This result broke a seven-match losing streak for the Tigers. However, sitting in last place, they remain favourites for the wooden spoon at $1.38, while they are clear outsiders in this clash at $4.75 with PlayUp.
There are two forced changes in the Wests backline this week, as Junior Tupou and Solomon Alaimalo replace the injured Adam Doueihi (knee) and Luke Laulilii (head knock). Forward Latu Fainu joins the bench in place of Tallyn Da Silva.
The Sea Eagles were also successful last round, beating the Warriors by 14 points at home. After an even first half, Manly showed their class in the second, crossing twice while keeping New Zealand scoreless.
With five wins from their last six matches, Anthony Seibold’s men are carrying plenty of momentum into the NRL finals. As a result, they are clear favourites for this clash at $1.21 with BoomBet.
There is just one change for the Sea Eagles this week, as centre Tommy Talau misses with a pectoral injury. Tolutau Koula moves into the starting side, while Karl Lawton makes his return in the second row, pushing Ben Trbojevic onto the bench.

Wests Tigers v Manly Sea Eagles predictions
Despite breaking their losing streak last weekend, it is hard to see the Tigers causing another upset. The Sea Eagles are one of form sides in the NRL, and with just three weeks left before finals, expect them to put together a strong performance and cover the line of 14.5 points at $1.91 with top NRL bookmakers.
With 10 tries in 15 games this season, Manly winger Jason Saab is a constant scoring threat. The Tigers have struggled to defend their right edge all season, and last time these sides met, Saab was able to get over twice. At $3 with leading Australian bookies, he offers great value to score two or more tries once again.
One of the premier halfbacks in the NRL, Manly’s Daly Cherry-Evans has scored in each of his last five matches against the Tigers. He has seven tries this season, including two in his last three matches, so back him to get over the line at $3.50 with top online bookmakers.
