The Big Bash League continues on Saturday night with the Sydney Smash as the Thunder face the Sixers at Sydney Showground Stadium.

With just one win from their season so far, the Sydney Thunder quickly need to turn things around if they are going to push for a finals spot. Up the top of the order, star recruit Cameron Bancroft has been a standout with 175 runs at a strike rate of 133. English opener James Vince was impressive with 83 but had little support as ultimately their total of 154 wasn’t enough. A one-sided rivalry, the Sixers have won their last four matches against the Thunder. In the first match at the Showground Stadium this season, the pitch traditionally favours the bowlers. Despite their wicket-taking form, the Thunder bowlers have conceded plenty of runs and may struggle against the depth of the Sixers batting order.
