Sydney Kings vs New Zealand Breakers NBL betting preview
Desperately searching for a win, both the Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers will look to bring their A-game when they clash at Qudos Bank Arena this Friday in week five of the 2020/21 NBL season.
Neither side has started the campaign how they would have liked to, with the Kings currently 2-3 and the Breakers just 1-2 after only playing three matches due to cancellations.

The duo of Casper Ware and Jarell Martin has starred this season for the Kings, contributing nearly half of the team’s total points scored, while the Breakers have a balance of offensive avenues.
Although Tai Webster has carried much of the scoring burden for NZ in the early stages of the season, Lamar Patterson is finding his feet and Corey Webster returns from injury.
A loss here would put the Breakers well behind the eight ball and make it hard for them to mount a serious finals challenge.
Sydney Kings vs New Zealand Breakers NBL betting predictions
To score under 20 points – Tai Webster
As previously mentioned, Tai Webster has been the main scoring option for the Breakers until now, but the young star will likely find this matchup difficult. Casper Ware is a premium guard, one that knows how to score and defend, while the Kings as a whole favour the defensive side of the game. We shouldn’t see the younger Webster sibling put up more than 20 points against the Kings this Friday.
Under 171.5 total points
The NBL has collectively lowered its scoring output, with the total match points market emerging as a big winner for punters. Online bookmakers are still offering totals above the 170-point mark when some matches are struggling to reach 160. The Breakers score the least in the league, while the Kings love low-scoring games.
Sydney Kings to win
After losing to the Adelaide 36ers in their first match of a back-to-back, the Kings bounced back well in the second contest and found their groove. Dejan Vasiljevic has provided a third option on offence for Sydney, averaging over 20 points in his last two outings. The Kings are the superior team and should win on their home court.
