Anzac Round in the NRL wraps up when the Storm take on the Warriors in Melbourne. This game is always a tribute to both the Anzac spirit and the relationship we share with our fellow Kiwis. The Storm were incredibly impressive last week as they ultimately belted the Sharks. On the other side of the park, the Warriors were on the receiving end of controversial decisions that saw them lose narrowly to the Roosters at the SCG.
It is no shock to see the Melbourne Storm heavily supported in head-to-head betting markets given the recent form of the league’s hottest upcoming free agent, Cameron Munster. Plug that into a spine with Ryan Papenhuyzen, Jahrome Hughes and Harry Grant, and the sky’s the limit. However, Anzac Day is different in this clash.
While the New Zealand Warriors are outsiders in betting, they will make an incredible account of themselves as they always do. However, once again the Melbourne Storm have proved they’re in a league of their own. The Warriors should score a few points, but it won’t be enough as the Storm will cover the -19.5 point line.
Cameron Munster has tongues wagging across the league this year, and last week he delivered one of his career best performances, outside of the 2020 State of Origin series. Last week he scored a try of his own, set one up, broke four tackles and the defensive line twice. He’s in red hot form, and an incredible value play to score a try at any time paying $3.15 with UniBet.
While the Warriors haven’t had the toughest draw of the NRL, they have proved they can score points against quality sides as they put 14 on the Roosters. Given they average 18 this NRL season, and the Storm average 28, the total points market is a smart one to play in. The Storm will find scoring easier against the Warriors than weeks gone, and the overs looks the play with the total points set at +40.5.
KEY MATCH UP: RYAN PAPENHUYZEN V REECE WALSH
The battle of the fullbacks will have fans the league over intrigued as both are State of Origin calibre fullbacks on their day. Walsh however is stepping up a grade to take on Papenhuyzen, who has been in incredible form so far this season. Papenhuyzen is scoring tries, setting them up, breaking tackles and defensive lines for fun. Should the Warriors have any hope of beating Melbourne, Reece Walsh will have to have a career game and lift the Warriors with him.
