Round 22: Melbourne Storm v SGI Dragons match preview
The Melbourne Storm will continue rolling on towards the finals when they host when they host the St George Illawarra Dragons at AAMI Park this Saturday for round 22 of the 2024 NRL Premiership.
The Storm have not been beaten since round 12, when they lost to the Sea Eagles at Brookvale. They sit on top of the NRL ladder, two wins clear of the Penrith Panthers.
The Dragons are coming off a disappointing 36-point loss to the Panthers, which leaves them in 10th spot on the NRL ladder. A win here will be vital if they are to return to finals football this season.
Shane Flanagan has made several changes to the Dragons side, with Toby Couchman (suspension), Ben Murdoch-Masila (foot) and Mathew Feagai (concussion) all out injured. Tyrell Sloan returns at fullback, Luciano Leilua has been named to start in the second row, and Tom Eisenhuth comes in at lock. Hame Sele, Ryan Couchman and Blake Lawrie are listed on the bench.
Storm coach Craig Bellamy has adjusted his side as well. Superstar five-eighth Cameron Munster returns to the starting 13, so Tyran Wishart moves back to the interchange. Sualauvi Faalogo has been dropped from the bench, with Alec MacDonald named in his place.

Storm v Dragons R22 betting strategy
The Storm have won four of their last five clashes with the Dragons, including a 36-point win last time the two sides met at this ground. Melbourne have won 17 of their last 18 appearances at their home ground, and they will be expected to win by 13 or more points again at -200 odds with top NRL bookmakers.
The Storm have won both halves in each of their last four games, while the Dragons have trailed at half-time in two of their last three losses. Expect the home side to take the lead into the break before completing the half-time/full-time double at -500 with online bookies.
Storm second-rower Eliesa Katoa is having a career-best season, scoring eight tries from 10 line breaks and countless tackle breaks. He has scored five tries this season against sides ranked outside the top eight, and this weekend he will take on Luciano Leilua — who has missed an incredible 15 tackles in his last five appearances. There is great value from PlayUp in the +130 quote for Katoa to score this weekend.
