Melbourne Storm v Canterbury Bulldogs match preview
Friday night football for round six of the NRL Premiership kicks off in Melbourne with the Storm hosting the Canterbury Bulldogs at AAMI Park.
The Melbourne Storm made it three wins for four outings when they beat the Broncos in a thrilling end-to-end match in round five, while the Bulldogs outlasted a battered and bruised Roosters side to hang on for a much-needed second win of the season.
Storm coach Craig Bellamy has named an unchanged line-up following last Thursday’s win, but Cameron Ciraldo and the Canterbury Bulldogs have had to make several changes following their incident-laden encounter with the Chooks.
With the Doggies confirming on Wednesday that Max King (wrist) will be joining Kurt Mann (hand) and Harrison Edwards (neck) on the sidelines, the team’s forward stocks will be sorely tested. Captain Stephen Crichton moves to fullback for the concussed Blake Taaffe, Josh Addo-Carr returns from injury on the wing, Poasa Faamausili joins the interchange and Bailey Hayward will make his NRL debut from the bench.

Melbourne Storm v Canterbury Bulldogs predictions
The Storm have been backed from $1.25 into $1.11 since markets opened. The Bulldogs have lost each of their last 16 games against opponents ranked in the top four on the NRL ladder, and their injury list will not make Friday’s match any easier. Despite winning each of their last four home matches by 1-12 points, the Storm should claim victory by 13 or more points at $1.50 with Marantelli Bet.
Melbourne fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen seemed to struggle against the Broncos last weekend because of strong kick-chases from Ezra Mam and Tristan Sailor, but he still managed to record a try assist and two tackle breaks in 121 run metres. His previous two matches brought three tries, four line breaks and 15 tackle breaks at an average of 164 run metres per game. Against the Bulldogs, Papenhuyzen should find more open space and score a try at some stage as a $1.70 chance with online bookmakers.
Storm winger Will Warbrick has had a strong start to his second season in the NRL, starting with two line breaks, 11 tackle breaks and two tries while averaging 145 run metres per game. The former rugby union player has scored at least one try in each of his last six appearances, including last week against the Broncos. Warbrick should be able to find the in-goal area at $1.70 with the top NRL betting sites.
