Silent Sedition sells for $1.5 million
Prominent Japanese owner Katsumi Yoshida has paid $1.5 million for Group One winner Silent Sedition at the National Broodmare Sale.
The 2017 William Reid Stakes winner is the third mare to fetch more than $1 million on the opening day of the Magic Millions sale.
Bloodstock agent Dean Hawthorne has snared the other two, paying $1.4 million for 2015 Schweppes Oaks winner Abbey Marie and $1.7 million for Group One-placed Omei Sword.
Triple Group One winner Jameka is scheduled for sale late on Tuesday and is predicted to be the sale topper.
The broodmare sale goes until Thursday.
