Serie A preview, betting tips & top soccer odds | Matchday 30
The 2023/24 Serie A season continues this weekend with 10 matches of top-quality Italian football. Below are our top soccer betting tips for every game of Matchday 30.
Napoli v Atalanta
Saturday, March 30 – 10:30pm AEDT – Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
This match will have major implications for European qualification. Despite a disappointing season, Napoli have found form in recent weeks to go undefeated in their past six games. On the other hand, Atalanta are winless in their past four, suggesting they may struggle on the road against quality opposition.
Napoli to win
Genoa v Frosinone
Sunday, March 31 – 1am AEDT – Stadio Communale Luigi Ferraris
After eight matches without a win, Frosinone have now dropped into the drop zone. With up to eight teams in the relegation fight, they head to Genoa as underdogs at risk of falling further behind the pack. A win in the reverse fixture shows Frosinone can do it, but with Genoa in much better form and at home, an upset looks unlikely.
Genoa to win
Torino v Monza
Sunday, March 31 – 1am AEDT – Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino
With just one loss from their past eight matches, Monza head to Turin within just three points of a potential European position. While Torino sit just one point behind Monza, they have just one win from their past five and have not scored in their last two home matches. Coming in as major underdogs with online bookmakers, the visitors offer great value as the in-form side.
Monza to win
Lazio v Juventus
Sunday, March 31 – 4am AEDT – Stadio Olimpico
It has all fallen apart for Juventus, who have dropped to third place after managing just one win from their last eight games. It won’t be easy for the ‘Old Lady’ to stop their form slump, as they have won just one of their past four matches against Lazio in Rome. These teams are both in poor form and struggling defensively, so expect plenty of goals.
Over 2.5 goals
Fiorentina v AC Milan
Sunday, March 31 – 6:45am AEDT – Stadio Artemio Franchi
Locked in a battle for second place, AC Milan head into their clash with Fiorentina with just one loss from their past 14 Serie A matches. While the in-form visitors enter as slight favourites with Serie A betting sites, they have won just two of their past nine away matches between the sides. Fiorentina are also on a six-match unbeaten streak, so a stalemate would be no great surprise.
Draw
Bologna v Salernitana
Monday, April 1 – 9:30pm AEDT – Stadio Renato Dall’Ara
Sitting inside the top four with seven wins from their past eight matches, Bologna continue to defy expectations. They enter Matchday 30 as heavy home favourites to beat Salernitana, who sit bottom of the Serie A table. With little value in just the win, note that nine of Bologna’s past 10 home matches have gone under 2.5 goals.
Bologna / Under 2.5 goals
Cagliari v Hellas Verona
Tuesday, April 2 – 12am AEDT – Unipol Domus
A critical match for the relegation picture, both Cagliari and Hellas Verona sit just two points away from the bottom three. As these are two of the lowest-scoring sides in the Serie A, don’t expect too many goals — even with Cagliari’s terrible defensive record. Verona are undefeated in the past five between the sides, but given they are playing on the road, taking the under is the smarter play.
Under 2.5 goals
Sassuolo v Udinese
Tuesday, April 2 – 12am AEDT – MAPEI Stadium
With a single win from their past 10 matches, the 19th-placed Sassuolo are desperate for points as they face relegation rivals Udinese. While they sit just four points above Sassuolo, Udinese have lost just two of their past seven games — a run that includes wins over Juventus and Lazio. Unbeaten in the past 11 matches between the sides, Udinese enter as rightful favourites with Marantelli Bet.
Udinese to win
Lecce v Roma
Tuesday, April 2 – 3am AEDT – Stadio Ettore Giardiniero
Since the appointment of Daniele De Rossi as manager back in January, Roma have climbed up the table while losing just one game — to Inter Milan. Sitting just three points outside the top four, they come in as favourites for their clash against the 13th-placed Lecce. Despite playing on the road, Roma should be far too strong as they look for vital goal difference against one of the worst attacks in the Serie A.
Roma / Over 2.5 goals
Inter Milan v Empoli
Tuesday, April 2 – 5:45am AEDT – Stadio Giuseppe Meazza
With a 14-point lead at the top of the Serie A table, Inter Milan come in as heavy favourites for this clash with relegation candidates Empoli. As they haven’t scored in their past three matches, don’t expect much from the visitors as they come up against the best defence in the Serie A.
