Serie A Matchday 26 betting preview, free tips & top odds
The Serie A action continues this weekend with 10 matches of top-quality Italian football. Below are our free soccer betting predictions for Matchday 26 of the 2023/24 Serie A season.
Bologna vs Hellas Verona
Saturday, February 24 – 6:45am AEDT – Stadio Renato Dall’Ara
Sitting fifth, Bologna have been the surprise packet of the Serie A season. Looking to extend their four-match winning streak, they welcome a struggling Hellas Verona side that has not won an away game since the opening weekend. Bologna coming in as heavy favourites with Marantelli Bet and be giving plenty of the ball to in-form winger Riccardo Orsolini, who has five goals in his past six matches.
Riccardo Orsolini anytime goalscorer
Sassuolo vs Empoli
Sunday, February 25 – 1am AEDT – MAPEI Stadium
In a critical clash for the relegation picture, the 16th-placed Empoli will be looking to carry on their solid run of form as they face the 17th-placed Sassuolo. After sitting in the drop zone for most of the season, Empoli are now undefeated in their last five. On the other hand, Sassuolo have just one win from their past 12 and look set to struggle again despite holding the home advantage.
Empoli to win
Salernitana vs Monza
Sunday, February 25 – 4am AEDT – Stadio Arechi
After securing an impressive 4-2 victory over AC Milan last weekend, Monza have now stretched their unbeaten run to four matches. They look set to continue that form as they travel to face the last-placed Salernitana. After securing a 3-0 victory earlier in the season, we can expect much of the same from Monza, who offer great value on the road.
Monza to win
Genoa vs Udinese
Sunday, February 25 – 6:45am AEDT – Stadio Communale Luigi Ferraris
In the midst of one of the stranger seasons, Udinese kept up their record of the most draws in Europe with their 14th last weekend. Heading to Genoa, they face a tricky task against a side with just one loss in 10 outings. While the home side should be too strong, Udinese are unbeaten in the past 13 clashes between the teams, which suggests it may be closer than expected.
Draw
Juventus vs Frosinone
Sunday, February 25 – 10:30pm AEDT – Allianz Arena
Winless in their past four matches, Juventus will be looking to break out of their slump as they welcome Frosinone this weekend. After beating them 4-0 earlier this season, the ‘Old Lady’ should be far too good. Watch out for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has six goals in his past four matches and looks a good bet to add to that tally in this clash.
Dusan Vlahovic anytime goalscorer
Cagliari vs Napoli
Monday, February 26 – 1am AEDT – Unipol Domus
Not much has gone right for Napoli in their title defence, as they now sit five points off the top six in ninth. Needing to turn their form around quickly, they face a great opportunity against the struggling Cagliari this weekend. Despite playing at home, Cagliari should be outclassed here, as they have just one win from their past 11 and haven’t beaten Napoli in their past six meetings.
Napoli to win
Lecce vs Inter Milan
Monday, February 26 – 4am AEDT – Stadio Ettore Giardiniero
Sitting comfortably with a nine-point lead at the top of the table, Inter Milan will be looking to continue their excellent season as they head to Lecce this weekend. The 15th-placed side should be no match against the league leaders, who come in as heavy favourites with Serie A bookmakers. Keep an eye out for Serie A leading scorer Lautaro Martinez, who will be looking to add to his tally of 20 goals for the season.
Lautaro Martinez anytime goalscorer
AC Milan vs Atalanta
Monday, February 26 – 6:45am AEDT – Stadio San Siro
In the headline match of the weekend, Atalanta will be looking to continue their excellent run of form as they head to the San Siro. Having won their past six in a row, Atalanta will be looking to take advantage of a shaky AC Milan outfit that lost 4-2 to Monza last weekend. Despite sitting above Atalanta on the table, Milan have lost the past two matches between the sides, suggesting that an upset could be on the cards.
Atalanta to win
Roma vs Torino
Tuesday, February 27 – 4:30am AEDT – Stadio Olimpico
Sitting just inside the top half of the table, Torino have been on an excellent run of form as a result of their exceptional defensive record. Heading to Roma this weekend, they face a tough test against a top-six side with just one loss in their past seven matches. Playing at home, they should be too strong against a Torino side that lacks offensive firepower.
Roma to win to nil
Fiorentina vs Lazio
Tuesday, February 27 – 6:45am AEDT – Stadio Artemio Franchi
Fiorentina are looking for just their second win of 2024 as they host Lazio on Monday night. After a disappointing start to the season, Lazio have worked their way up the table over the past few months, but there are concerns given their wins have largely come against bottom-half teams. With a chance to prove their quality, Lazio should be too strong and offer great value on the road.
Lazio to win
