Same Game Multi tip for State of Origin 2 – value odds & specials

Sportsbet Same Game Multi featureWednesday, June 21, 2017 – 8:10pm AEST – ANZ Stadium, Sydney

WILL the Blues finally clinch just their second Origin title in close to a decade or will the Maroons square the ledger and take us into a live game III?

Queensland were left reeling after their opening game stinker at Suncorp Stadium, but the origin title holders welcome back stalwarts Jonathan Thurston and Billy Slater back into the fold, as well as Sharks’ livewire Valentine Holmes after he was inexplicably left out of game I.

NSW take in basically the same side that trounced their opponents in the origin opener, and will take great confidence from the fact that players such as James Tedesco, Jarryd Hayne and Andrew Fifita are in scintillating form at club level.

Fifita in particular has caught the eye of Blues teammate Aaron Woods, who thinks the livewire can take his game to “another level” on Wednesday night.

“He was just amazing in game one. It was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from a front-rower. I just wanted him to score off every play,” Woods said.

“I didn’t notice it too much on the field but when I watched the highlights after the game, he was just running amok. He’s got a big fend, really good leg speed. Just to see him do it at that level, I was just happy for him.

“To see him turn his headspace around and the footy he has been playing … I think he can go to another level again.”

Andrew Fifita is +360 at Ladbrokes.com.au to score a try at anytime in game II.

We took a look at the possibilities for Wednesday night’s crunch match and put together a same game multi that we think is a huge chance to come off and reward our loyal readers.

Jarryd Hayne anytime try-scorer

Hayne has a lot to prove heading into game II of origin. The former 49ner had a rocky start to his 2017 campaign, but a strong performance in the opening representative game has seen the Hayne Plane take flight.

At club level he is contributing well, but it is the big stage that we know Hayne thrives on. We believe the superstar will have eyed off this game directly after the game I win as a match he wants to have a decisive influence in, and we think there is no better way to do that then by scoring a try in your home state to help guide your team to victory.

Blues by 1-12 points

The Blues blew the Maroons out in game one through their ferocious attack on the ball and brilliant defence, but given the visitors now face handing the trophy over a game early to their counterparts, we are expecting a much tighter contest.

We believe the Maroons slightly underestimated their opponents, and we do not think that will happen again. We still are backing the Blues to get the job done, but in a much more slender margin this time around.

Total points under 32

Even though the Blues hammered the Maroons last time, the total margin for the match was only 32 points – the line which is set for game two.

As stated above, we are anticipating a much hotter contest at ANZ Stadium. We believe we are going to witness a defensive slugfest where both teams will be reluctant to give up cheap scores, all of which is conducive to a low scoring affair.

We understand the line being set at 32 given that was the score of the opening origin game, but we think the screws will tighten significantly in game two and are more than confident predicting a dour and tough match on Wednesday.
