The Sydney Roosters are flying heading into round 24 of the NRL Premiership, and they’re set to host the struggling Parramatta Eels at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.
The Chooks have won six of their last seven six matches dating back to round 15, when they beat the Eels in Parramatta. In third spot on the NRL ladder, Sydney will have their sights set on cementing their position leading into finals.
The Eels had their hearts broken by the Panthers at CommBank Stadium last Friday night, with Penrith scoring 16 unanswered points to win in the dying minutes of the match. They are also fighting to avoid the wooden spoon, sitting two wins clear of the last-placed Wests Tigers.
Eels interim coach Trent Barrett has replaced Matt Doorey with Kelma Tuilagi on the bench in an otherwise unchanged side.
Coming off a bye in round 23, Trent Robinson has struck with the same Roosters lineup that beat the Dolphins in Perth a fortnight ago.
