Round 16: Sydney Roosters v Canterbury Bulldogs preview
The Roosters will continue their long-standing tradition of hosting games at Industree Group Stadium in Gosford when they take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Saturday in round 16 of the NRL Premiership.
The Roosters overcame their staggering loss to the Cowboys in Sydney by beating the Eels in Parramatta last weekend to sit one win outside the top four on the NRL ladder.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs bolstered their position in the top eight with their most recent win over the Eels and will be eager to continue the climb towards the top of the ladder in preparation for a return to finals football.
The Bulldogs will be without Jacob Preston due to a foot injury, while Kurt Mann has been suspended and Stephen Crichton will represent New South Wales in State of Origin next week. Jeral Skelton lines up on the wing, Jacob Kiraz shifts to the centres, Josh Curran and Bailey Hayward return from concussions in the back row, and Jake Turpin, Poasa Faamausili and Lipoi Hopoi have been named on the bench.
Meanwhile, Roosters coach Trent Robinson will be without Origin stars Angus Crichton, Connor Watson, Lindsay Collins and Spencer Leniu, while Michael Jennings (hamstring) is also out. Dominic Young returns on the wing as Fetalaiga Pauga shifts to centre, Terrell May and Brandon Smith join the front row, and Nat Butcher starts in the second row. Blake Steep, Sitili Tupouniua and Siua Wong will all come off the bench.

Roosters v Bulldogs R16 betting picks
The Bulldogs have won two of their last three matches against the Roosters, including their clash in round five this season.
