The RLPA has made a significant move by calling for an NRL player boycott on all pre-game, post-game, and halftime interviews during NRL matches, citing explosive issues with the collective bargaining agreement with the league’s head office.

At a press conference scheduled for 2.45 pm, the RLPA will announce their latest plan of action regarding the prolonged CBA negotiations with the NRL and Australian Rugby League Commission.

Starting from Thursday, July 6, all NRL players have been instructed to abstain from participating in TV, radio, print, and digital interviews until the conclusion of round 19.

Moreover, dressing room access will be restricted for Fox League and Channel Nine, the NRL’s major broadcast rights partners.

This ban will be enforced at the beginning of each round and will continue until the round of football is concluded. Players will be allowed to partake in interviews only on Mondays and Tuesdays each week, exclusively with NRL-club based websites.
