Renato Moicano calls out Paddy Pimblett after UFC 311 fallout
The fallout from UFC 311 has fuelled an intense rivalry between Renato Moicano and Paddy Pimblett, sparking a fiery exchange on social media that has captivated MMA fans.
Moicano, who took on UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev on just one day’s notice, found himself the target of criticism after his first-round submission loss via D’arce choke.
Pimblett wasted no time calling out Moicano for tapping out, igniting a public feud that quickly escalated.
Moicano, who had been preparing to fight No.9-ranked Beneil Dariush, stepped up to face Makhachev in a near-impossible scenario.
While the top bookmaker odds were heavily stacked against him, Pimblett seized the opportunity to criticise the Brazilian for his performance.
Moicano responded sharply, defending the circumstances of his loss and challenging Pimblett to a fight.
He posted on X: “Paddy pimblitch is talking sh*t! Let me tell you something you’re going to tap if we fight! You never got a short notice fight in your life; imagine one day notice!”
The exchange grew heated as Pimblett fired back, claiming he would finish Moicano just as decisively if they ever met in the octagon.
“I’m not talking sh*t, Renato I’m talking facts; you tapped after like 2 seconds like a b*tch; the only chance you’ll ever get to be a UFC World Champ, and you quit like an absolute sausage! I’d make you quit just like Islam did you,” he said.

The rivalry between the two lightweight contenders has been simmering for some time but reached boiling point following UFC 311.
Moicano’s call to UFC CEO Dana White to book the fight has only added fuel to the fire as fans eagerly await a potential clash.
Both fighters have a lot on the line, with Moicano sitting at No.10 in the rankings and Pimblett at No.13.
For Moicano, it is an opportunity to bounce back and silence his doubters, while Pimblett seeks to prove himself against a top-tier opponent.
