Wrapping up round 21 of the 2024 NRL Premiership, the Canberra Raiders will be looking to keep their finals hopes alive as they host the South Sydney Rabbitohs at GIO Stadium.

The Raiders come in as $1.65 favourites with BoomBet after beating the Warriors by two points at home last Friday. Led by a first-half double from second-rower Hudson Young and a perfect kicking performance from halfback Jamal Fogarty, Canberra were able to hold off a late comeback to secure the win.

Breaking a run of four-straight losses, the Raiders have climbed back up to 10th on the NRL ladder. However, given their inconsistencies this season, leading rugby league bookies give them incredibly long odds of $8 to make the finals.

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has stuck with the same team that beat the Warriors as he looks to continue with the winning formula.

Raiders v Rabbitohs betting strategy

The Rabbitohs are charging towards the finals; however, they have won just two games on the road this season and have lost three of their last four against Canberra. The Raiders look a much-improved side now that several of their stars have returned, and they should be good enough at home to win by less than 13 points at $3.30 with top Australian betting sites.

The Raiders have the third-worst attack in the NRL, and we can expect them to turn this into a gritty affair. Each of their last three matches has gone under 40 points, while eight out of nine matches at GIO Stadium this season have gone under this week’s line of 50.5 points.
