Michael Walker is hoping to have at least three days shaved from a careless riding suspension.

Michael Walker has appealed a careless riding suspension from Sandown in a bid to ride Aquis Farm-owned two-year-olds in Sydney.

Walker, who was outed by Racing Victoria stewards for 10 meetings for his winning ride on Eighteen Carrot last Wednesday, needs a reduction of three days to be able to ride at Randwick on Saturday.

The retained rider for Aquis, Walker has been tentatively booked for Golden Slipper hopefuls Dubious in the Todman Stakes and Vincere Volare in the Reisling Stakes.

Walker, who pleaded guilty, will front the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday.

He had also been booked for Brave Smash in the Group One Canterbury Stakes at Randwick with the sprinter also entered for the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington.
