Two clubs in turmoil will meet this Saturday in round 12 of the 2024 NRL Premiership as the South Sydney Rabbitohs host the Parramatta Eels at Accor Stadium.

The Rabbitohs suffered their sixth consecutive loss last Saturday but will be buoyed by Latrell Mitchell’s return to form, as well as super coach Wayne Bennett signing on to return to the club in 2025. A win for the Bunnies would likely take them out of last place on the NRL ladder.

Meanwhile, the Eels sacked coach Brad Arthur during the week and risk slipping from 14th to 16th if they lose and the Titans win.

Rabbitohs interim coach Ben Hornby has named Taane Milne and Michael Chee Kam to start in the centres, shifting Jack Wighton to five-eighth to help cover the suspension of Dion Teaupa. Jacob Host will return from suspension, with Keaon Koloamatangi moving to lock and Siliva Havili dropping back to the bench.

Eels interim coach Trent Barrett has made one change to the side that lost to the Storm in Magic Round. Ryan Matterson will start in the second row, so Bryce Cartwright moves back to the interchange and Brendan Hands drops to the reserves.

Rabbitohs v Eels betting predictions

Although the Rabbitohs have won four of their last five games against the Eels, they’ve lost each of their last 10 night matches and given up the first half in 12 straight games. Souths have also failed to cover the line in 16 of their last 17 outings. As such, there is great value with Neds for the visitors to win by 1-12 points (+205).
