Punters swarming to Donald Trump impeachment market
FOLLOWING Donald Trump’s recent controversy surrounding leaking sensitive terrorist information to Russian officials, a flood of money has come in to Sportsbet.com.au for the current US President to be impeached.
Over $11,000 has been wagered on Trump to be impeached at Sportsbet, which has prompted the betting company to shift the POTUS’ odds into +110.

Astute punters could have got a $5 return on their impeachment investment in January of this year.
Trump smeared Obama for years with his birther witch hunt, but Trump’s the one facing impeachment.
Karma can be poetic.

It is not just the online agencies that think it is a foregone conclusion either. The experts think America’s 45th President is headed for impeachment.
Former GOP presidential candidate John McCain believes Trump’s consistent and constant scandalous behaviour has reached a “Watergate size and scale”.
“I think we’ve seen this movie before. I think it appears at a point where it’s of Watergate size and scale… the shoes continue to drop, and every couple days there’s a new aspect,” McCain said as he received the International Republican Institute’s Freedom Award.
McCain said the best way for Trump to avoid a moment of similar embarrassment to the one that befell then President Richard Nixon when the Watergate scandal broke is to “get it all out”.
“It’s not going to be over until every aspect of it is thoroughly examined and the American people make a judgment. And the longer you delay, the longer it’s going to last.”
All due respect to @SenJohnMcCain & his service to our country, his ‘tough talk’ w/ no action on Trump rings more hollow w/ each passing day https://t.co/vlXyTR842T

Other Trump markets have not seen anywhere close to the same amount of interest. Surviving his full first term as President is now out to $1.67 from $1.11 at the start of the year.

Sportsbet.com.au representative Will Bryne said the punters have spoken and impeachment looks right around the corner.
“Trump is getting it from every angle right now and the punters’ reaction has been loud and clear that he’ll face impeachment sooner rather than later,’’
