Perth Scorchers vs Brisbane Heat BBL13 preview
The Big Bash action continues on Saturday afternoon with a top-of-the-table clash between the Perth Scorchers and the Brisbane Heat. For the first match of a double-header on January 13, here are our tips for Match 35 of BBL 13 season:
Facing each other for the second time this week, it was the Heat who took the win on Wednesday night as they got home in a comfortable 23-run win. After a sloppy start with the bat, it was Heat all-rounder Michael Neser who flipped the match as he scored 64 off just 30 deliveries. Chasing 191, the Perth Scorchers were never able to get on a roll, and they let the required run rate get too high. Neser added two wickets to his stellar performance as the Heat pace bowlers did the damage.
The win ensures that the Brisbane Heat have now locked away first place in the standings as they head into their final match of the season. With an undefeated record in BBL 13, the Heat are now the side to beat heading into finals. However, the availability of Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschage and Matthew Renshaw is questionable, which could leave to major changes in their batting line-up.
Despite the loss the other night, the Scorchers still sit second in the standings and should be confident of securing the double chance. As two-time defending champions, the Scorchers will be confident in their side going forward and will be boosted by the availability of their star players.

Perth Scorchers v Brisbane Heat betting predictions
In a matchup between the two best sides in the BBL, this match is lacking a little bit of meaning as the Heat have already locked in their position. The Scorchers have won their past five matches at Optus Stadium and with the Sixers right on their tail, this is a must-win clash. Back the home side here at -138.89 with Neds.
With three of their top four players unavailable due to test selection, the expectation now falls on opener Colin Munro. The New Zealand international has been excellent so far this tournament, leading the Heat run scoring charts. An ex-Scorcher, Munro has plenty of experience on the ground and facing the opposition bowling attack. The obvious pick is to pack Munro in as the Heat’s leading run scorer at $4 with top online bookmakers.
After being kept to just 14 off 16 deliveries in their clash on Wednesday, Scorchers all-rounder Aaron Hardie will be keen to bounce back with a much-improved performance here. The top run scorer in BBL 12, Hardie has continued that form this season and has been rewarded with a spot in the Australian squad for the upcoming ODI series. Back on his home deck, watch out for Hardie to get going as he scores 30+ runs at +110 with top cricket betting sites.
