Oscietra to resume in Geelong maiden
Oscietra, the first foal of champion Black Caviar, is favourite to claim her first win when she steps out for her second race start in a Geelong maiden.
The three-year-old finished third in a 1000m race for two-year-old fillies at Flemington on debut in January before being given a spell by her co-trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig.
She runs in Friday’s Hanlon Industries Maiden Plate (1000m) on the Geelong synthetic track with Regan Bayloss to ride.

The filly has been installed the odds-on favourite ahead of the Hawkes Racing-trained debutante Consider It Done.
Oscietra won a jump-out on the Geelong synthetic track last month in preparation for her return to racing and also won a jump-out at Flemington last week.
By Exceed And Excel, Oscietra is the first of Black Caviar’s foals to race.
Black Caviar was unbeaten in her 25-start career from 2009 to 2013 which included winning 15 Group One races.
