NRL Round 7: Titans v Raiders betting preview

The Raiders are chasing a third straight win and a top-four spot when they take on a leaky Titans outfit on Sunday afternoon at Cbus Super Stadium.

Canberra are coming off a massive 50-point performance in Darwin, while Gold Coast are looking to bounce back after consecutive defeats.

Canberra’s forward pack tore the Eels to shreds last week, and they’ll be confident of doing similar damage to a Titans defence that’s conceded 74 points across the last two rounds.

The Raiders’ left edge continues to impress with Hudson Young and Seb Kris racking up tries, and Ethan Strange growing in confidence as the chief playmaker. With the top four in reach, Ricky Stuart’s side will see this as a must-win.

The Titans regain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Jojo Fifita, but they’ll need a major improvement in line speed and defensive shape to contain Canberra’s second-phase game.

Gold Coast have struggled to defend their red zone all season and are conceding over 34 tackles per game inside their 20. It’s a huge concern against a Raiders team that leads the league in offloads for the 2025 NRL season.

Canberra have won nine of their last ten against the Titans, and their most recent four visits to Cbus have all ended in victory. The only real question is whether travel fatigue catches up to them after playing in Darwin last week.

But with momentum on their side and a settled 17, the Raiders look the better side in every department, with the top online bookmakers pricing them as a $1.72 favourite.

NRL Round 7: Titans v Raiders betting predictions

The Raiders have covered in seven of their last eight day matches at Cbus, and they’ve dominated this matchup historically. Their powerful forward rotation and elite offloading game make them hard to contain for 80 minutes. With points likely to be traded early, the +3.5 line adds great value with BetOnline, in what could still be a tight road win.

Young is in red-hot form with five tries in his last four games, and he’ll be running at a Titans right side that was torn apart last week. His timing off the hip of Strange has been excellent, and his work rate means he’s always a threat near the line. At $2.35 with BetOnline, he’s an auto-play in tryscorer markets this week.

Despite Canberra’s big total last week, both sides have recent trends pointing to the under. The Titans have lacked finishing polish, and Canberra’s defence has stiffened since Round 3. Unless there’s a flurry of late tries, this one should fall comfortably below the 50.5 line at $1.90 odds with BetOnline.
