NRL R8 teams: Cleary back for Panthers, big changes for Broncos

The Penrith Panthers have star halfback Nathan Cleary back on deck for their NRL clash with the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night.

The Brisbane Broncos also have some big ins with Adam Reynolds, Payne Haas and Brendan Piakura named for their date with the Wests Tigers in Campbelltown, although Selwyn Cobbo and Ezra Mam are both out injured.

The Newcastle Knights have called up David Armstrong to replace the injured Kalyn Ponga at fullback as they take on the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

On a big day for the Cronulla Sharks following the sudden retirement of co-captain Dale Finucane, emerging five-eighth Braydon Trindall has been stood down after failing a roadside drug test and will take no part in their clash with the Raiders in Canberra.
