NRL R5 team news: Big ins for Storm, Bulldogs lose Addo-Carr
The Melbourne Storm will welcome back star halves Cameron Munster and Jahrome Hughes for their clash with the Brisbane Broncos on Thursday night in round five of the 2024 NRL Premiership.
Veteran forward Christian Welch is also set to return for the men in purple, while the Broncos will hand young forward Ben Te Kura an NRL debut.
The Canterbury Bulldogs have lost star winger Josh Addo-Carr to concussion, which means Blake Wilson will wear the No.2 jersey in their clash with the Sydney Roosters on Friday night.
The Dogs will also be without Jacob Preston (jaw) and Kurt Morrin (suspension), while Lindsay Collins is back from a hamstring injury for the Chooks.
The Newcastle Knights have recalled Jackson Hastings for their meeting with St George Illawarra in Friday’s late game, with Dane Gagai and Leo Thompson also back in the fold.
The Dragons have made just one change, bringing Michael Molo onto the interchange for Hame Sele.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs will be missing Alex Johnston (hamstring) and Shaquai Mitchell (concussion) for Saturday’s tussle with the New Zealand Warriors, while under-fire halfback Lachlan Ilias is listed in the reserves.
The Wahs have lost Luke Metcalf (leg) and Kurt Capewell (concussion), but Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad returns at fullback and Te Maire Martin slots into the halves.
The Dolphins and Tigers have one out apiece for their clash on Saturday night, with Max Plaith and Lachlan Galvin both suspended.
