North Melbourne v Port Adelaide R11 preview
The Port Adelaide Power will be looking for their third consecutive victory when they head down to Blundstone Arena this Saturday to face the North Melbourne Kangaroos in round 11 of the 2024 AFL Premiership season.
Despite playing on the road, the Power come in as heavy favourites for this clash at $1.08 with Unibet, while the Kangaroos are long outsiders at $8.40 with BoomBet. The handicap is set at 42.5 points, offering value for North Melbourne backers.
Last Sunday, the struggles continued for North Melbourne as they went down by 40 points to Essendon. In promising signs, they trailed by just seven points at halftime; however, they conceded eight goals in the third quarter en route to another heavy defeat.
Still winless, there haven’t been many positives for Alastair Clarkson’s side this season. Top AFL bookmakers have them as strong favourites for the wooden spoon at $1.25.
The Kangaroos will be forced into one change this week after defender Miller Bergman suffered a hamstring injury against the Bombers. Co-captain Jy Simpkin is a chance to return from a quad injury, while key defender Bigoa Nyuon may be recalled to deal with the height of the Power forward line.
Last Sunday, Port Adelaide secured a miracle one-point victory over Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval. Down by 41 points in the third quarter, the Power kicked the last six goals — including two in the last minute — to secure an unlikely win. Midfielder Zak Butters starred with 32 disposals — including 17 in the last quarter — while Willie Rioli and Dan Houston each kicked three goals.
With the win, the Power have jumped back into the top four and a game clear of the five teams stuck on six wins. Online bookmakers have them as outsiders for the premiership at $18, while they offer a value pick for a top-four finish at $3.
In positive news for the Power, Ollie Wines has been cleared to play after being subbed out with heart palpitations against the Hawks. Connor Rozee, Lachie Jones, Quinton Narkle and Trent McKenzie are all available to return, with Josh Sinn (collarbone) the only confirmed change.

Kangaroos v Power Rd 11 predictions
This match looks set to be a percentage booster for the Power. Port Adelaide have won each of the past four games between the sides, with margins of more than 50 points in the last three. Back the visitors to cover the line of -42.4 at $1.91 with Bet365.
Returning to the half-back line in the absence of Colby McKercher, Kangaroos youngster Harry Sheezel collected 32 disposals against the Bombers. Ranked top five in the AFL for disposals and marks, the 2023 Rising Star winner finds plenty of uncontested football inside his own defensive 50. With the Power expected to get on top and dominate the territory battle, Sheezel looks a good bet to collet 30 or more disposals at $2.20 with the best AFL betting sites.
With seven goals in his past two matches, Port Adelaide’s Willie Rioli is amongst the best small forwards in the AFL right now. The 28-year-old has a better scoring average against the Roos than any other team, booting eight majors in three outings. Rioli has kicked multiple goals in five matches this season and looks a good play for three or more in Hobart at $3.20 with top AFL bookies.
