No faith in Steph Curry ahead of NBA star’s pro golf debut
STEPH Curry will swap the boards for the greens this week when he makes his professional golf debut on the second-tier Web.com Tour.
The NBA superstar has been granted a sponsor’s exemption into the Ellie Mae Classic, which kicks off on Thursday, August 3 at TPC Stonebrae.
While he is a keen golfer who plays off a single-digit handicap, online bookmakers are predicting Curry will struggle to keep pace with the tour pros.
Sportsbet.com.au has posted a number of special markets for the Golden State Warrior.

He is paying +163 to register a ‘triple double’ – in this case, three or more double bogeys in the opening round.
There is much less faith in Curry making the cut (+1000), while an unlikely win is offering Hail Mary odds of +100000.
“Steph Curry has a pretty decent swing but we’re offering big odds for him to slam dunk one into the cup off the tee this week,” said Sportsbet’s Christian Jantzen.

“Le Romain had a career best season as a four-year-old, he was second to Winx and beat Chautauqua in the BMW,” said Jantzen.
“He was impressive in a Newcastle barrier trial win and hasn’t been out of the money in four first-up runs.”

Shooters set sights on vacant Cootamundra seat
The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party has opened as the bookmakers’ pick to win the upcoming Cootamundra byelection.
The seat was vacated this week by Nationals MP Katrina Hodgkinson, who announced her retirement after 18 years in parliament.
That could be bad news for a New South Wales government that has already suffered big losses in the Manly and North Shore byelections this year.
According to Sportsbet, Premier Gladys Berejiklian has every right to be nervous.

While the bookie is tipping a two-horse race, the Shooters are clear market leaders at -166.67 odds.
“We’ve seen some decent swings against the government in previous byelections this year so the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party would fancy their chances of picking up Cootamundra,” said Jantzen.
