Newcastle Knights rugby convert Lachlan Miller appears UK bound

Newcastle Knights rugby convert Lachlan Miller looks destined to join an English Super League club.
The Knights are reportedly poised to part ways with the former Olympian and rugby union recruit after limited playing time, despite being signed until the end of the 2025 season.
Several English clubs have shown interest in the 29-year-old fullback and five-eighth, who showed plenty before the Knights switched their line-up around, demoting him to the reserves.
Miller’s manager Tyran Smith said his charge had plenty to offer top-flight rugby league clubs.
“There has been some interest from a few clubs,” Smith told NRL.com.au,
“But it is all yet to be finalised.”
Knights’ list manager, Alex McKinnon has shown gratitude towards the player’s efforts and dedication, stating, “Lachlan is a highly respected player and always gave his all for us.”
Miller joined the Knights from Cronulla at the start of this season, after struggling to get first grade minutes, with Matt Moylan and William Kennedy keeping him out of the NRL line-up.
The Knights are on the sixth line of NRL Premiership betting at $23, with Miller set to make himself available if required, before a likely link-up with Leeds Rhinos before the 2024 season.
Newcastle is a $1.69 favourite with online bookmakers to beat the Sharks ($2.16) in the final match of NRL round 26 on Sunday.
