Nature Strip wins G1 TJ Smith Stakes

Nature Strip has won his fourth Group One with a dominating performance in the $1.25 million Group One TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick.

James McDonald took the favourite straight to the front and finished well clear of last year’s winner Santa Ana Lane over the 1200m, with veteran sprinter Redzel third.

The victory gave trainer Chris Waller his first TJ Smith and his 110th Group One victory.
