Multi tips & bonus bets for Australian Open, Thursday matches
A COOL change breezed through Melbourne on Wednesday, giving players some relief from the scorching Australian heat, but that did not mean the attack was any less dramatic on court.
The majority of the pre-tournament fancies are still in the frame for the title, while Australia still has a few hopes left in the market.
Thursday at Melbourne Park looks to be a fantastic day of tennis and we’re backing the big guns to salute for us to get a healthy return.
All odds for day four of the 2017 Australian Open were provided by WilliamHill.com.au, which is running the Chase the Ace promotion all the way through the first Grand Slam tournament of the new year.

Selections for the Thursday January 19 Australian Open multi:
Fabio Fognini to beat Benoit Paire ($1.73)
David Goffin to defeat Radek Stepanek($1.33)
Dominic Thiem to progress past Jordan Thompson ($1.29)
Caroline Wozniacki to defeat Donna Vekic ($1.13)
Combined multi value: $3.35 @ WilliamHill.com.au
Benoit Paire vs Fabio Fognini
Two men who are separated by just two ATP ranking positions meet on Thursday afternoon.
Both men had easy paths to the second round after Haas retired against Paire and Fognini defeated Lopez in straight sets.
The two men have met four times previously, splitting the victories, but interestingly all of Paire’s wins have come on clay while Fognini has beaten his opponent on the hard court.
Form on the surface tips the scales in Fognini’s favour and we are backing the Italian to get us off to the perfect start.

Radek Stepanek vs David Goffin
Star on the rise David Goffin tackles veteran of the tour Radek Stepanek in the second leg of our multi, and we are backing the much younger of the competitors to salute.
The world number 11 Goffin did it the hard way in the opening round, taking five sets to progress past Reilly Opelka but it does not matter how you get there as long as you win.
World 101 Stepanek won through in straight sets but we question just how far the 38-year-old can go in the Aussie heat.
We are backing Goffin to hammer Stepanek to progress through to the third round.

Dominic Thiem vs Jordan Thompson
Australian gun in the making Jordan Thompson takes on Dominic Thiem in a tough match up for the home town hero.
The eighth seed Thiem took four sets to get past his opponent but eventually prevailed after disappointingly dropping the first set.
Thompson was sensational in his five set victory over Joao Sousa. It showed all the grit and determination of his mentor Lleyton Hewitt, but it was a war-of-attrition performance.
Thiem’s class should shine through in the second round and he should be too much for the plucky 22-year-old.

Caroline Wozniacki vs Donna Vekic
Caroline Wozniacki faces Donna Vekic in the final leg of our multi and the Dane looks well placed here to progress to the third round.
Both women progressed through to the second round in style, winning in straight sets.
The pair have met only once before on the WTA tour and that time Wozniacki took the chocolates at the 2013 Australian Open. We are backing her to make it two from two at Melbourne Park.
