Millions another major step for Aquis
The Aquis Farm syndicate will tick another box in its drive to be a dominant force in Australian racing when Colosimo runs in the Magic Millions Two-Year-.Old Classic.
Aquis has established a training-breeding-spelling complex on the previous Patinack Farm site at Canungra in the Gold Coast hinterland.
In its first full season of racing Aquis has had 10 winners in Queensland and produced its first runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, Colosimo.
After the first two days of the Magic Millions sale, Aquis was in the top 10 vendors headed by a $1 million Medaglia d’Oro colt.
Colosimo, a $55,000 Foxwedge filly, won her first two starts but was a well beaten ninth in the Group three B J McLachlan Stakes.

Trainer Steve O’Dea believes Colosimo should not be under-estimated in the Magic Millions Classic on Saturday.
“She didn’t have much luck at her last start and her previous runs were very strong indicating the 1200 metres of the Magic Millions will suit,” O’Dea said.
O’Dea will also saddle Candika in the Magic Millions Guineas andbelieves she is a forgotten horse in the race.
Candika was a strong second in the Mode Plate before finishing fifth behind Winning Rupert in the Vo Rogue Plate.
“She has experience at the Gold Coast having run third in the Magic Millions Classic last year,” O’Dea said.
