McEvoy, Melham among Flemington casualties
Kerrin McEvoy and Ben Melham will be free to resume riding on Zipping Classic day at Sandown despite incurring Flemington suspensions.
Fellow jockeys Dwayne Dunn and Katelyn Mallyon have not been so fortunate.
McEvoy was suspended for eight meetings for careless riding on Mr So And So but his penalty means he can return next Saturday for the feature Sandown meeting.
Melham also incurred the same penalty for breaching the whip rules on The Taj Mahal who finished fourth in Saturday’s Group One $2 million Emirates Stakes.
Dunn will miss 14 meetings after being suspended on two separate charges.
He copped 10 meetings for careless riding in a support race while stewards issued a 14-meeting penalty for causing interference aboard Chautauqua at the 500m of the Group One Darley Classic.
Both penalties will be served concurrently and he can return to riding on November 23.
Mallyon was suspended for 11 meetings for interference on Super Cash at the 900m in the Darley Classic.
