Jockeys released from hospital after fall
Jockeys Jarrod Fry and Jack Martin have been released from hospital with relatively minor injuries after a fall at Hamilton.
Apprentice Martin fared the worst in Monday’s fall with a dislocated shoulder while Fry has soft tissue damage to an ankle.
Victorian Jockeys’ Association chief executive Matt Hyland said Martin would have further scans on his shoulder.
“Both boys were really lucky,” Hyland told RSN927.
“Jack will have further scans in a week’s time.”
Hyland said the future scans would determine where Martin had any ligament damage but the first X-rays had not shown any fractures.
