James Doyle suspended over Randwick ride
Godolphin jockey James McDonald will spend five meetings on the sidelines after he pleaded guilty to careless riding at Randwick.
Stewards charged Doyle over his ride on the Clarry Conners-trained Queen Of Wands in a benchmark handicap on Saturday.
Doyle was found to have shifted in at the 700m mark when he tried to slot in, causing interference to Hugh Bowman and Tree Of Jesse.

“The pace slackened quite remarkably once I crossed,” Doyle said.
The English jockey will start his suspension after the Boxing Day meeting at Rosehill and can resume on January 4.
It is Doyle’s first suspension since he started his Australian stint riding for Godolphin while James McDonald is sidelined pending an inquiry into a betting charge.
