I’m A Rippa to chase $1 million
Trainer Tony Gollan will enter I’m a Rippa in two races at the Sunshone Coast.
Vastly improved I’m A Rippa will be entered for two races at Caloundra as he bids to take his prize money beyond $1 million.
I’m A Rippa won the $1 million QTIS race at the Gold Coast in January and took the Group Three BRC Sprint at Doomben two weeks ago to take his total earnings to $910,000.
Trainer Tony Gollan is tossing up whether to run I’m A Rippa in the Group Two Moreton Cup (1200m) or the Listed Spear Chief Stakes (1400m) on Saturday when the carnival moves to the Sunshine Coast.
“I will probably enter him for both and then look at the nominations before deciding which way to go,” Gollan said.
“I will have Charlie Boy in the Spear Chief so I don’t want to race them against each other. But the Spear Chief suits both so we will see.”

The Gollan-trained Sheiswhatsheis ran a stout second in the Lord Mayor’s Cup on Saturday and is also set to press on into the winter.
“She really likes the Doomben 1600 metres and we will look for more races there for her. But we might try her at something a bit longer,” Gollan said.
Trainer Robert Heathcote is also looking at the Spear Chief or Moreton Cup for handy galloper Privlaka who was second in the BRC Sprint at his latest run.
“Privlaka is racing well and deserves another shot at black-type. At this stage the Spear Chief looks his race but I might throw in a nomination for the Moreton Cup in case,” he asaid.
Injury prone mare Tumbler is expected to make her latest return at Caloundra in the Listed Lightning Stakes (1000m).
The Barry Lockwood-trained six-year-old, who has won seven races in a career restricted to 10 starts, ran second in a Deagon barrier trial on May 15.
