Hauraki storms home to win Epsom Handicap
The John O’Shea-trained Hauraki has come from last to snatch a last-stride win in the $1 million Epsom Handicap at Randwick.
Giving away what seemed to be an impossible start under jockey James McDonald, Hauraki mowed down Dibayani and Mackintosh to win the famous Group One mile on Saturday.
“I can’t believe it, honestly. I’ll take it but I can’t believe it,” O’Shea said.
