Giants v Bulldogs best bet tips
Giants to win 1-39
Finn Callaghan 25+ possessions
Sam Darcy 2+ goals
GWS is looking to bounce back from consecutive losses when they host the unpredictable Western Bulldogs at ENGIE Stadium in round 10 of the AFL Premiership season on Saturday.
The Giants enter as favourites for this clash at around the $1.48 quote with PlayUp (PlayUp review), while the Bulldogs are looking for an upset at $2.70. The handicap is set at 14.5 points.
Last Saturday, the Giants form slump continued as they fell to Essendon by 20 points at Marvel Stadium. In a game of two halves, the Giants led by as much as 21 points in the second quarter, before conceding eight goals to three in the second half as they were overrun by a swarming Bombers outfit.
With three losses from their past four matches, GWS has now dropped out of the top four for the first time this season. However, there are no concerns with AFL betting sites, as they remain one of the contenders for the premiership at $6.
The Giants will be missing both Josh Kelly and Lachie Ash this week after they both suffered calf injuries against the Bombers. Leaving players such as Xavier O’Halloran, James Peatling and Josh Fahey in line for a return to the side.
The Bulldogs snapped their two-match losing streak on Sunday as they beat Richmond by 91 points. Under pressure for their inconsistent start to the season, the Dogs were brutal against an injury-hit opposition as they won every quarter. Adam Treloar starred with 41 disposals and a goal, while Aaron Naughton, Sam Darcy and James Harmes all kicked four goals.
Despite sitting 11th on the ladder, Luke Beveridge’s side have the third best percentage in the AFL. However, online bookmakers don’t believe they will push the contenders this season as they are at $4.25 to make the top eight.
Don’t expect too many changes after their demolition win, but small forward Laitham Vandermeer is one forced change with a shin injury. As such, Ryley Sanders or Caleb Daniel are a chance to return.

GWS v Western Bulldogs betting tips
Matches between these sides in recent times have created an exciting rivalry, which is always a fiery affair no matter their positions on the ladder. However, the Giants are yet to lose a home game in 2024 and as such are rightful favourites. The Dogs’ inconsistencies make them a hard choice, but with their quality, this should still be a close match, so back the Giants to win by 39 points or less at $2.10 with bet365.
With Ash and Kelly both missing from the side, the Giants will be required to look elsewhere for game-breaking run and as such, expect wingman Finn Callaghan to be much more involved. The 21-year-old is having a career-best season so far and prior to his disappointing effort against the Bombers, he was averaging 26 disposals over his last three matches. He averages 23 disposals per game against the Bulldogs, so back him in for a big day with 25 or more disposals at $2.55 with with the Neds online bookie.
Coming off a four-goal effort against the Tigers, tall forward Sam Darcy has been a breakout star for the Bulldogs this season. Averaging two goals per game, the former number two draft pick has scored in every match this year. With Naughton and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan taking the Giants defensive pair of Sam Taylor and Jack Buckley, expect Darcy to have plenty of opportunities, kicking two or more goals at $2.
