Funeral for Riharna Thomson in Tamworth

The funeral for track rider Riharna Thomson will be held in her home town of Tamworth on Friday.

Thomson suffered critical head injuries in a fall at Canberra’s Thoroughbred Park last week and her life support system was turned off on Friday.

The popular 22-year-old had recently been promoted to stable foreperson for trainers Keith Dryden and Scott Collings.

Her funeral service will be held at 2pm at Allstone Chapel, Lincoln Grove Memorial Gardens, 1040 Gunnedah Rd, Tamworth.
