French Open 2025 betting picks & predictions | Day 7 preview

French Open betting news

The seventh day of the 2025 French Open brings some fantastic matchups where there is even more betting value to be found. We did just that, with three of the best Roland-Garros tips for this Saturday below—including a +225 punt on Alexander Zverev.

Joao Fonseca vs Jack Draper

On paper this matchup gives the illusion of a competitive fixture, with tennis betting sites setting winner odds at -227.27 to +175 in Jack Draper’s favour. However, these two met earlier this year, and it was the only time in 2025 that Joao Fonseca has been thoroughly outplayed.

We have been impressed with what Draper has done in Paris, outlasting the red-hot Gael Monfils most recently. While Fonseca has also delivered, the big issue for him in this clash is Draper’s ability to absorb. The Brazilian teen likes to overpower and hit through opponents but will struggle to do that against a world-class defender like Draper.

Novak Djokovic vs Filip Misolic

Novak Djokovic barely escaped having to play four sets against Corentin Moutet, with our Thursday tip missing by 0.5 as a result. Here, we again expect another speed bump for the Serbian.

Djokovic used to train with his third-round opponent, Filip Misolic. The Austrian has power in his shots, with a decent serve and forehand. Most importantly, he will be comfortable with Djokovic’s ball, given their history together.

Combine this with some blisters for Djokovic, and this one going to a few tiebreakers – or even a fourth set – is a better chance than BetOnline has it priced.

Alexander Zverev vs Flavio Cobolli

Alexander Zverev is no stranger to protracted matches in the early stages of Grand Slams against lower-ranked opposition. Since becoming a top-10 player, the German has dropped a set or sets 39 times against non-top-20 opponents prior to the quarter-finals.

Up against Flavio Cobolli, who is 15-5 on clay this season with two titles, Zverev dropping a set is highly likely. However, given his track record at Roland-Garros, we do not see this going to five, with a four-set victory for Zverev the best bet.
