NRL Multi
JUST two teams in the NRL remain undefeated in 2017 as this campaign looks like becoming one of the more even seasons in recent memory.

Pre-season premiership favourites Penrith has just one win to its name, the Cowboys were shock losers to the Sea Eagles last week, while Cronulla, Canberra and Brisbane have just one win each after three rounds.

Anything can and will happen in the NRL, but we are starting to see which teams are the real deal this season, which makes putting together a multi much easier, and this week we are certain we have cracked the formula to deliver a tasty dividend for our readers.

All odds for the fourth week of the NRL Season were provided by Sportsbet.com.au.

Penrith Panthers vs. Newcastle Knights

Friday, March 24 from 6 pm AEDST Pepper Stadium, Penrith

Who would have predicted the Penrith Panthers and the Newcastle Knights would be sitting side-by-side on the NRL premiership ladder after three rounds of the season?

The Panthers narrowly lost last week after the Roosters roared home to win. Whether or not the referees contributed to that result is irrelevant given the result stands.

There was a very real possibility that the Knights would have went through 2017 without a win to their name, so getting the monkey off their back in round two against the Titans was a huge relief. Hard to see them beating Penrith though, given they are one of the true premiership fancies.

Penrith should get their season on track finally to make their top eight push.

Penrith Panthers to win – $1.19

Gold Coast Titans vs. North Queensland Cowboys

Saturday, March 25 from 8 pm AEDST, CBUS Stadium, Gold Coast

It is not quite do-or-die for the Titans in round four, but if the home side is to make an impact this season they need to start winning matches.

The Titans have been a huge disappointment so far this season, and after losing to the Knights in the opening fortnight of the year, many pundits predicts a season outside of the eight was forthcoming. Their win last week was a step in the right direction but there is still a long way to go.

The Cowboys put together an uncharacteristically sloppy performance last week against the Sea Eagles. If there is one thing we know about North Queensland it is that they are a proud unit and will be eager to bounce back.

The Cowboys should be too strong for the Titans in the Queensland clash.

North Queensland Cowboys to win – $1.65

Wests Tigers vs. Melbourne Storm

Sunday, March 26 from 4 pm AEDST, Leichhardt Oval, Leichhardt

Two teams on very different paths in 2017 meet on Sunday at Leichhardt as the Tigers host the Storm.

Melbourne is on fire this season. The Storm are undefeated and sitting at the top of the NRL premiership ladder, add to this the successful return from injury from Billy Slater and things are looking rosy for last year’s grand finalists.

The Tigers are in disarray.

After their round one shock win Wests have scored just one try since. They have conceded 82 points in that time and lost a coach along the way.

The Tigers need to show their fans they care, but they cop the worst possible match up to attempt a rebound. The Storm should smash the Tigers to keep us moving into the final leg.

Melbourne Storm to win – $1.50

St George Illawarra Dragons vs. New Zealand Warriors

Sunday, March 26 from 6.30 pm AEDST, UOW Jubilee Stadium, Sydney

The last match of our NRL multi is headlined by one name – Kieran Foran.

The Warriors have been inconsistent this season so far, winning just one of their three games to start 2017. The inclusion of Foran could be the catalyst to get their season rolling.

St George Illawarra have won two of their opening three matches, including a shock opening round win against the Panthers. It is hard to know how to exactly gauge where the big red v sit as we have seen them fall in a heap time and time again over the last few years.

This one could go either way but we are backing the superstar power of Foran to help the Warriors get their second win of the season. The former Eel’s presence on the field is profound enough to help pull his side over the line.

New Zealand Warriors to win – $1.95
