EPL Matchweek 14 betting tips, best odds & predictions
After a dramatic Matchweek 13, the English Premier League will return this weekend with all 20 teams slated to play. Arsenal sit in first place after last weekend’s results, and they will hope to further their gap as second-placed Manchester City host Tottenham in the match of the week. Here are BettingSite’s top EPL tips for Matchweek 14 of the 2023-24 Premier League season.
Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Saturday, December 2 – 3pm GMT – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal are top of the EPL table and playing at a very high level. They have won four of their last five EPL fixtures and are yet to lose at home. Wolves, on the other hand, have been mediocre all season and will enter this game having won one game in their last four. The Wolverhampton defence is simply too weak to limit the Gunners’ attack, so the home side should have no issue covering the handicap.
Arsenal -1.5
Burnley vs Sheffield United
Saturday, December 2 – 3pm GMT – Turf Moor
Burnley have conceded 32 times in 13 games, while Sheffield have conceded 34 times in the same time frame. While goals will be scored, the trick will be finding who scores them. Jay Rodriguez scored his one and only goal of the season last weekend, but this weekend he will the sorts of opportunities that Burnley normally can’t create. In a potential shootout, Rodriguez to score at any time is great value at +220 with top soccer betting sites.
Jay Rodriguez anytime goalscorer
Newcastle United vs Manchester United
Saturday, December 2 – 8pm GMT – St James’ Park
Both teams will expect to win this game, but this match will come down to Newcastle’s home form. The Magpies have been great at St James’ Park this EPL season, collecting 19 points out of a possible 21. While Manchester United are on a three-game win streak, Newcastle are coming in hot off a 4-1 win against Chelsea. Stick with the home team in a game that will have a big impact at the upper end of the EPL table.
Newcastle United to win
Bournemouth vs Aston Villa
Saturday, December 3 – 2pm GMT – Vitality Stadium
Aston Villa have maintained great form all season and now find themselves in a Champions League qualifying spot. The Villans have won four of their last five EPL games, and a large part of that is an elite attack that has scored 31 times in 13 games. Bournemouth’s defence has conceded 28 goals in that time, and the Cherries simply don’t have the talent to limit Villa in this matchup.
Aston Villa to win
Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday, December 3 – 4:30pm GMT – Etihad Stadium
Slumping Spurs will struggle to deal with Man City, but Son Heung-min’s odds to score are far too good to ignore. The South Korean has eight goals in 13 games and is still playing at an elite level. Also, City’s defence is starting to show some cracks, conceding five goals in the last two games. While City should win this game, Tottenham could grab a goal, and at +285 with EPL bookmakers, Son is great value to be the one that scores it.
Son Heung-min anytime goalscorer
