EPL Matchweek 12 betting preview, top tips & best odds
The English Premier League returns this weekend with a crucial slate of games. The marquee match of Matchweek 12 will be a fascinating contest between Manchester City and Chelsea, and we have free EPL betting tips for that game and more.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur
Saturday, November 11 – 11:30pm AEDT – Molineux Stadium
After a great start to the season, Tottenham stumbled in midweek with a 4-1 loss to Chelsea. That might just be a blip, however, as Spurs were down to nine men early in the second half. Wolves have been solid, but they are coming off a terrible game against Sheffield United where they were outplayed by an inferior side. We have more concerns about that result than Tottenham’s, and Spurs should bounce back with a big away win in this battle.
Tottenham to win
Arsenal v Burnley
Sunday, November 12 – 2am AEDT – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal have been outstanding at home all season and have also dominated teams at the bottom of the EPL table. In their last three games against teams currently in the bottom five, the Gunners have outscored their opponents 10-0. Burnley, who are in 19th place, only have four points through 11 games and will struggle to compete in this contest. Take Arsenal against the spread as they continue their title push.
Arsenal -2
AFC Bournemouth v Newcastle United
Sunday, November 12 – 4:30am AEDT – Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth enter this game in terrible form, having been outscored 16-4 in their last five EPL contests. Newcastle, on the other hand, haven’t lost any of their last five EPL games and have been dominant defensively, conceding only two goals over that stretch. Bournemouth have only mustered nine goals this season, and Newcastle are expected to lock them down with ease.
Newcastle to win
Aston Villa v Fulham
Monday, November 13 – 1am AEDT – Villa Park
Aston Villa are in fifth place on the EPL table, and a significant reason for that is their perfect record at home. Fulham have struggled in recent games and have only earned four points in their last five matches. The Cottagers have scored only one goal in their last three games and will likely struggle to create opportunities away from home. Take Villa against the spread as they continue to dominate on their own patch.
Aston Villa -1
Liverpool v Brentford
Monday, November 13 – 1am AEDT – Anfield
This game has the potential to be a lot of fun. Brentford have won three straight and appear to have resolved any issues that were hindering them at the start of the season. That being said, Liverpool are in good touch as well, which means Mohamed Salah has a great chance to get a goal. The Egyptian striker has scored five goals in his last four EPL games and is playing as well as ever. At -110 with top EPL bookies, Salah to score is a great bet.
Mohamed Salah anytime goalscorer
Chelsea v Manchester City
Monday, November 13 – 3:30am AEDT – Stamford Bridge
This clash all comes down to one thing: whether or not Chelsea are truly back. The Blues have struggled this season, but during the week they beat an in-form Tottenham side 4-1 away. That said, Manchester City is a different beast altogether. The Cityzens have won three straight EPL games, outscoring their opponents 11-2 in the process. Man City are unquestionably the better team, and Chelsea still have some issues to figure out.
Manchester City to win
