Eels v Dolphins NRL R7 preview
Friday’s NRL schedule wraps up in Darwin with the Parramatta Eels hosting their annual match at TIO Stadium as they look to stop the Dolphins from bouncing back after their second loss of the season.
Injury has ravaged the Dolphins, who are now without some of their biggest marquee players. Their 14-point loss to the Broncos in the ‘Battle of Brisbane’ was their second of the season, coming after three wins in a row over the Tigers, Titans and Dragons.
The Eels recorded their third win of the season in round six, beating the Cowboys by seven points in Parramatta. A strong win against the Dolphins could move the hosts into the top eight on the NRL ladder.
Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett has been forced to replace Anthony Milford (suspended) and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (hamstring), with Trai Fuller named to start at fullback and Sean O’Sullivan set to return via the bench. Max Plath is back from suspension and starts at lock, with Ray Stone dropping back to the interchange.
Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur has named Luca Moretti to come off the bench along with Blaize Talagi, who replaces Kelma Tuilagi. Wiremu Greig and Maika Sivo are both named in the reserves.

Eels v Dolphins NRL R7 predictions
The Dolphins are yet to play at TIO Stadium, where the Eels have won 67% of their matches. Further, 11 of the last 12 teams that have played the Broncos failed to cover the line in their next match. Look for a commanding performance from the Eels to win and cover the -7.5 line at $1.90 with online bookmakers.
Each of the Dolphins’ last seven matches has finished under the total points line. However, the visitors have continued to improve with their offence this season, and the only previous match between these two clubs had more than 60 points scored. Expect another high-scoring affair that goes over 45.5 total points ($1.90).
Dolphins winger Jack Bostock has already doubled his tryscoring tally from last season, crossing four times in five games. Look for that form to continue, with Bostock paying $2.35 at Marantelli Bet to score a try at any time.
