Super Saturday NRL action for Indigenous Round wraps up in Brisbane with the Dolphins hosting the Melbourne Storm at Suncorp Stadium. These two clubs are meeting for the first time, with supercoaches Wayne Bennett and Craig Bellamy at the helm, but who will come out on top?
Fresh off a massive win over the Cronulla Sharks and a bye, the Dolphins are set to welcome back former Storm players Brenko Lee and Jesse Bromwich. Poasa Faamausili drops out of the side, with Ray Stone also returning on the interchange bench in place of Mason Teague.
The Storm have named an unchanged 17 from the side that beat the Broncos in their controversial round 11 match.
While there is no history between these two clubs, a book could be written on the coaches and players. Bellamy and the Storm win games against Bennett and games at Suncorp more than 70% of the time — some of the best winning rates in NRL history.
Although the Dolphins have a wealth of experience and knowledge, the Storm have Cameron Munster and Harry Grant, who are primed for the upcoming State of Origin series. The star power of the Storm will be too much for the Dolphins to handle with the visitors covering the -6.5 line at $1.90 with the top NRL bookmakers.
Munster put the New South Wales Blues on notice last weekend when he used his awareness, speed and power to beat Kurt Capewell and score early against the Broncos. It is that type of eyes-up football the Maroons star will continue to play and the Dolphins will struggle to defend. Look for Munster to continue firing warning shots at his interstate rivals with another try this week ($2.40).
The Storm are one of the best defensive teams in the NRL, as they always are. Bellamy knows more than anyone that defence wins premierships, which will be their focus on Saturday night given the Dolphins have piled points onto teams like the Roosters, Sharks and Knights. Expect a low-scoring affair with less than 42.5 points scored in this match ($1.90).
Key matchup: Marshall-King v Grant

The stocks of Jeremy Marshall-King have skyrocketed under Wayne Bennett this season — a surprise to many experts around the league who know the Dolphins coach does not favour running hookers. Marshall-King has put his name up in lights as one of the best in the league with his attacking ability around the ruck, while also working with the experienced Dolphins forward pack to control the middle third of the field. His battle against Harry Grant will be fascinating to watch, with both players having similar playing styles.
