Country NSW apprentice joins Brisbane yard
NSW northern rivers apprentice Jackson Murphy has transferred to Eagle Farm trainer Chris Anderson.
Murphy has ridden 72 winners and has been also riding at the Gold Coast while based at Wauchope.
He decided to move to Brisbane to get more chances in the metropolitan area.
Murphy arrived at Anderson’s stables on Monday and immediately got to work.

Anderson said Murphy still had a 1.5kg claim in the country and a 3kg allowance at the provincials and midweek metropolitan area.
“At this stage he will concentrate on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Ipswich while still going to some of the northern rivers meetings,” Anderson said.
“We have been looking for an apprentice and have been watching Jackson’s career for a while.”
“He has excellent balance and is strong. I am sure he will make it when he finally comes to Saturday metropolitan racing.”
