Coaching dramas abound in NRL, Round 4 – punters have their say
AFTER two disappointing losses for two different reasons, clubs with coaching dramas were the talk of social media over the weekend.
The Bulldogs were absolutely hammered by Des Hasler’s old team Manly, while the Wests Tigers coughed up a strong half time lead to go down to the Melbourne Storm on Sunday.
Could Hasler be ready to jump ship to the Tigers? Or will Ivan Cleary fulfil the prophecy of many pundits and sign the dotted line at Leichhardt Oval?
Time will tell, but Twitter users had their say over the weekend and, as always, we compiled our favourite tweets from the weekend to let you tell the story.
Des Hasler under the pump as the Bulldogs fail once again
It goes without saying that something has to give at Canterbury.
Saturday’s 36-0 loss against Manly was one of the worst defeats in the club’s history. It was the Sea Eagles’ biggest win over the Bulldogs in 63 years and Des Hasler’s largest losing margin at Brookvale Oval.
Bulldog fans vented their frustrations in the aftermath of the match on Twitter.
Des Hasler has to go. This club is not the one I grew up with and supported. It has truly lost its heart and soul.

Some even went as far to say that a certain government body could not turn their fortunes around.

Could Hasler’s mind already be focused on another team?
There were plenty of rumours swirling around after the match that a sensational swap of coaches could be in the works.
The rumour is that Hasler is set to join the Wests Tigers and the hot-tip take his position is Ivan Cleary.
The Bulldogs fans are getting excited by the potential shift in coaching positions.

The Tigers fans were not opposed to Hasler coming to Leichhardt Oval either.

There is a lot to play out behind the scenes over the next week of NRL.
Melbourne Storms back to maintain their unbeaten NRL run
The new era at the Wests Tigers began on Sunday afternoon and there was plenty of optimism around Leichhardt Oval after the home side blew their opponents away to take a 14-6 into half time.
The Storm quickly took the lead after the break, and one Twitter user believes they have the answer as to why they were able to turn it around so quickly.

At the ground however, it is fair to say the Tiger fans were not happy.

Melbourne went on to register their fourth straight win, but it is fair to say Wests problems are deeper than a single game of footy.
The Tigers are set to delay the announcement of a new coach for at least one more game but understandably, the fans are impatient.

The signs were much better from the last fortnight of football, but one Twitter user is keen for the rumoured coach Ivan Cleary to get his hands on the Tigers’ roster.
Signs of improvement, but changes in the gameplan is needed. Ivan can’t come fast enough #NRLTigersStorm
