Clearly Innocent wins Kingsford Smith

Hugh Bowman has brought Clearly Innocent with a late run to overhaul Jungle Edge to win the Group One Kingsford Smith Cup at Eagle Farm.

Saturday’s win was the 12th at Group One level for Bowman in Australia this season, leaving him one short of Shane Dye’s record.

Clearly Innocent is prepared by Kris Lees at Newcastle after doing his early racing for Greg Bennett who took up a non-training position with Aquis Farm earlier this year.
